About
Finca Rosita
Our Farm
Sustainable and Innovative Coffee Farming
Finca Rosita is located in the Illimani community in the beautiful region of Caranavi, Bolivia. Our farm covers an area of 32 hectares, which is solely dedicated to the cultivation of coffee. We grow a variety of coffee species, including Java, Catuai, Geisha, Typica, and Pink Bourbon, all of which are carefully tended to and grown under the perfect conditions provided by our farm.

In addition to processing our own coffee, we also process the production of all our neighbors. This makes us a valuable resource in our community, and we are proud to be able to contribute to the growth and development of our fellow coffee farmers. Our farm is situated at an altitude between 1350 meters above sea level and 1740 at its highest point. This altitude, combined with our unique climate and soil conditions, provides the perfect environment for growing high-quality coffee.

Our Story
Agricultural Legacy

We are proud to honor the memory of our beloved grandmother, Rosa Angelica Aramayo, by naming our flagship farm after her. Rosita was a kind, generous, and joyful person who dedicated her life to helping others. She competed in ski tournaments and show jumping. She was also a painter and the president of the Bolivian Red Cross. Most importantly, Rosita was deeply connected to the land and understood the importance of sustainable agriculture practices.

Our family has a long history in farming and agriculture, dating back generations to our great-grandfather, a prominent Bolivian statesman and businessman who served as a diplomat in Germany the early 1900s. After his return to Bolivia, he dedicated his life to wine making.

The legacy continues with out father who has been deeply involved in agriculture since the late 1980s, starting with cochineal farms in the region of Sorata before eventually turning his attention to coffee. In the early 1990s, he exported his first container of coffee and has been promoting the trade as a businessman and exporter ever since.

Our father's passion and dedication to the Bolivian coffee industry did not go unnoticed. In 2007, 2008, and 2009, he served as the Bolivian coordinator of the Cup of Excellence, an international competition that recognizes and rewards exceptional coffee. He was successful in bridging the gap between the private sector, government, and cooperatives, and contributed greatly to the development of the Bolivian specialty coffee market.

We are committed to producing exceptional coffee and are grateful to have the opportunity to build our agricultural legacy and continue our family's tradition of dedication to building a better Bolivia.
